Dinner and a hotel stay are both recommended.

At 8:00 this morning, check out of your hotel and travel to Badrinath via Joshimath. As you go to Badrinath by car, you will pass through a number of beautiful Ghats. You should check in at your hotel as soon as you arrive. Rest for a while, then head to Badrinath Temple for the evening darshan after some refreshments. However, head to Tapt Kund (Hot spring) for a wash before receiving darshan at the temple. The Shri Badrinath Ji temple, which is 15 metres high and designed in the shape of a cone with a little cupola of a gilt bull and spire, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. After dinner, spent the night at your hotel.

Return to Rudraprayag through Karnaprayag, another of the panch prayags of the Alaknanda River, as afternoon draws near. As soon as you get to the town, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you like in the lovely Rudraprayag Town. Go back to the hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
