River Ganga is the holiest and most holy of all Hindu rivers that flowed from the Gomukh glacier in the Gangotri region. This area is also very popular with both national and international trekkers.

The Gangotri-Gomukh-Tapovan trek by India Pilgrim Tours is a meticulously organised trekking expedition lasting 10 nights and 11 days. This adventure takes you on ascending and lowering trek paths through Gangotri, Bhojwasa, Gomukh, and Tapovan. You not only do trekking, but you also enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounds you.

Day 1 - Delhi – Rishikesh (251 Km- 5 hrs)

Meet our tour consultant when you get at the Delhi Airport or Railway Station so they can assist you with a road transfer to Rishikesh. When you arrive in Rishikesh, the home of yoga in India, check in to your reserved accommodation.

You are free to spend the evening engaging in any activities you like. You may check out the city's top attractions, including its well-known temples. You can also go to the famous Ganga Aarti on the Ganges ghats. Dinner and a night in Rishikesh are included.

Day 2 - Rishikesh – Uttarkashi (172 kms- 3.5 hrs)

Day 2: After eating breakfast, head out by car towards Uttarkashi, which is 3799 feet above sea level. Check into the hotel you had reserved as soon as you get to Uttarkashi, known as the Kashi of the North. The remainder of the day is available for leisure pursuits.

You can talk to the locals, eat delectable food, walk through the lovely, verdant surroundings, see nearby city attractions, and more. In the Gangotri region, Utarkashi is a well-liked starting point for a variety of trekking and mountaineering trips. Keep the night.

Day 3 - Uttarkashi - Gangotri (98 kms- 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast on the third day of your journey, depart for Gangotri via Harsil. On the banks of the River Bhagirathi, there lies a lovely Hindu pilgrimage town called Gangotri. It is located 3100 metres above sea level and is also referred to as the Ganga River's source.

Visit the most well-known Gangotri temple in the area following hotel check-in procedures. This shrine is devoted to Gangotri, the source of the Holy Ranga River. You can also go to other places of interest including the Dodi Tal, Kedar Tal, and Vishwanath Temple. Stay over night.

Day 4 - Gangotri - Bhojwasa (13 kms trek- 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, the trek continues through Chirbasa (3600 metres) to Bhojwasa (3792 metres). The popular trek path from Gangorti to Chirbasa is on-tree line and follows the River Bhagirathi's raging banks. The walk over the Arctic Tundra becomes solitary and desolate as you cross Chirbasa.

You pass through dense forested areas on your way to Bhojwasa. Down the river from Bhojwasa is a modest temple that serves as both your campground and a temple. Set up camp along the river's edge.

You are free to explore the region and enjoy the sights once you have relaxed for a time. Be sure to catch the sunset over the Bhagirati peaks. Dinner and a night in the camps are included.

Day 5 - Bhojwasa - Gomukh (3890 meters) - Tapovan (4463 meters)

Enjoy the area's early-morning scenery with your eyes. After breakfast, start your walk to Gomukh, which is at an elevation of 3890 metres. The River Bhagirathi/Ganga originates near the Gomukh Glacier. One of the most cherished sites for Hindu worshippers is this starting point.

Admire the snow- and flower-covered mountain peaks' stunning magnificence. Gomukh is the name given to it because it resembles a cow's mouth. You can take a holy dip in the icy water of the glacier once you arrive there. Enjoy the tranquilly that surrounds you.

Start a tough ascent to Tapovan, one of the best high-altitude alpine meadows in the area, following that. The surrounding peaks are becoming more visible to you. The region is well known for its captivating meadows, which enclose the Shivaling mountain base camp. Enjoy the gushing streams and wildflower-filled meadows.

Additionally, you see herds of blue mountain goats called bharal. Once reaching the campsite, enjoy the background view of Bhagirathi Glacier I, II, and III (6454 metres). Popular among mountaineering and trekking lovers is Tapovan. When you get to Tapovan, make your camp. In the tent, for dinner and the night.

Day 6 - Tapovan

On day six of the trek, acclimatisation is done. You are free to unwind and merely take in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Tapovan is well-known for its tranquil and exciting surroundings. It provides an amazing perspective of the flora and fauna, as well as the snow- and mist-covered peaks of the Bhagirathi, thanks to its high elevation. Explore Meru and the Kriti Glacier later. Appreciate your meal. In the tent, spend the night.

Day 7 - Tapovan – Bhojwasa (4-5 hrs trek)

Treat your eyes to the splendour of nature on the seventh day of the walk as the sun rises from behind the peaks. Have a delicious breakfast.

After there, start hiking down to Bhojwasa. As you make your way down a strenuous trek route, take in the beautiful sights of nature.

When you get to Bhojwasa, make your camp there. You are free to spend the remaining hours of the day engaging in your interests. After dinner, spend the night in the tent.

Day 8 - Bhojwasa - Gangotri (4-5 hrs trek)

After eating breakfast, start your descent to Gangotri. When you get to Gangotri, you settle into your campground. You are now free to partake in your favourite hobbies. On foot, you can explore the area, or you can just unwind in your tent. Dinner and a night spent camping.

Day 9 - Gangotri – Uttarkashi

After breakfast on the ninth day of the tour, start your drive to Uttarkashi. Once you get at Uttarkashi, check into the hotel you had reserved. Engage in leisure pursuits. Take in the stunning environment that is all around you. You are welcome to go to the nearby attractions. Spend the night.

Day 10 - Uttarkashi – Haridwar (191 km-3 hours 47 minutes)

Take your breakfast on day 10. After that, take a road transfer with assistance to Haridwar. Check into your hotel as soon as you arrive. Now that you're comfortable in your room, you can unwind there or go touring and see places like Har Ki Paudi, Bharat Maya Mandir, Chandi Devi Temple, Sapt Rishi Ashram, and others. The magnificent Ganga Aarti is scheduled for this evening. Continue to sleep in Haridwar.

Day 11 - Haridwar- Delhi (231 Km - 4.5 Hrs)

When you reach at Delhi's railway station, one of our representatives picks you up. The remainder of the day is yours to go shopping. You are taken to the international airport in the evening to catch a connecting flight to your next destination.

Day 12 - Haridwar – Delhi (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)

The final day of the journey is today, when you leave for Delhi after breakfast. Get dropped off at the Delhi Airport or Railway Station to catch your next flight or train.
