Khajuraho Varanasi Golden Triangle journey, a package of 10 nights and 11 days, will be an incredible journey that will allow you to explore the greatest of India’s cultural and spiritual legacy. In India’s legendary Golden Triangle tour circuit, see some of the most important Hindu temples, forts and spiritual palaces, mediaeval and monuments and sites. This India vacation package also includes a boat ride in Varanasi and an elephant ride in Jaipur.

Day 1 - Arrival in Delhi

Our IHPL tour agent will meet you at the airport or train station in Delhi and accompany you to the hotel you have reserved. The remainder of the day would be free for you to do as you pleased. Delhi, a large metropolis, is home to numerous top-notch restaurants and commercial centres. In the evening, feel free to explore them. Additionally, Delhi is renowned for its thriving street markets. These marketplaces offer delicious, spicily prepared street food that you are welcome to sample.

Day 2 - Sightseeing in Delhi

Delhi, India's capital, has historically been a favourite of numerous empires and kings. As a result, several nationalities have influenced Delhi's legacy and culture. Delhi is divided into two sections: Old Delhi and New Delhi. The architectural marvels of Old Delhi are renowned for their masterful depictions of the stories of its bygone age. The modern infrastructure of Delhi, on the other hand, speaks about the urban joys of the city.

Once breakfast is finished, continue on to a city tour. You would be seeing some of the most well-known sights in both Old and New Delhi. Begin by touring Raj Ghat, Red Fort, and Jama.

Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi's memorial, is located on the Yamuna River's banks. The cremation site is located on a platform made of black marble in the middle of the compound. A large area of vegetation surrounds the building, including trees that world leaders including Queen Elizabeth II and US President Eisenhower planted.

Jama Masjid, on the other hand, is one of India's biggest mosques. Shah Jahan, a prominent Mughal monarch, constructed the mosque. The mosque, which is constructed of red sandstone and marble, is a beautiful example of Persian architecture.

You'll be visiting Delhi's other sites after lunch. It includes visits to Qutub Minar, constructed during the Sultanate era, and Humayun's tomb, constructed during the Mughal era. These two buildings are extremely important to Delhi's architectural history. Visitors would also be driven past key governmental structures in India as well as popular tourism destinations. It includes the President's palace, the Parliament building, and diplomatic outposts.

Day 3 - Delhi-Jaipur

Once breakfast is over, you will immediately leave for your subsequent trip to Jaipur. Jaipur is the largest city and the capital of Rajasthan, located 270 kilometres from Delhi. Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is well-known for its collection of historic forts and palaces.

When you arrive in Jaipur, a transfer will take you to your accommodation. The rest of the day can be spent either relaxing in your hotel or exploring the neighbourhood. There are numerous renowned bazaars in Jaipur where you may purchase mementos and ethnic goods.

Day 4 - Sightseeing in Jaipur

After finishing your delicious breakfast, you will leave for the Jaipur city tour. The Amber fort is the first item on the schedule. Raja Man Singh constructed Amber, one of the oldest forts in Jaipur, which features a stunning fusion of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. Visitors will be given the option of riding a royal elephant all the way to the fort.

After lunch, proceed to Jaigarh Fort, another popular tourist destination in Jaipur. The Jaigarh fort, which is perched high on one of the Aravali mountains' peaks, resembles the Amber fort in many ways. One of the biggest forts in Rajasthan, it boasts impressive battlements.

Laxmi Narayan Temple, City Palace, Jantar Mantar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and Hawa Mahal are further sights that you will undoubtedly see while on your Jaipur tour.

The resort at Choki Dhani village would host cultural events in the evenings.

Day 5 - Jaipur-Agra

After breakfast, leave Jaipur for the wonderful city of Agra, which is 243 km distant. You will stop in the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri along route. Fatehpir Sikri, which was constructed by Mughal emperor Akbar in the second half of the 16th century, is well-known for its collection of monuments and shrines.

Buland Darwaza, known as the largest doorway in the world, is very well known among them. Buland Durwaza, another magnificent work of the Mughal empire, is built from red sandstone and features pillars and Chhatris at the top.

Once you've taken in its grandeur, head back towards Agra. When you arrive, a member of our tour will take you to the hotel. Explore the exquisite handicrafts of Agra in the neighbourhood market throughout the evenings.

Day 6 - Sightseeing in Agra

On this day, you must get up early because the tour itinerary doesn't start until the very early hours. The stunning Taj Mahal would be the first thing to be seen in the morning as it sparkles with the sun's early beams. Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is a mausoleum fashioned entirely of white marble. It was constructed in honour of Mumtaz Mahal, the adored wife of the great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal is a genuine example of Islamic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7 - Agra-Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho: By Shatabadi train

Jhansi would be the next stop after Agra. You'd be taken to the train station early in the morning. From there, take the following train (215 kilometres) to Jhansi. You will go for Orchha (18 miles) by road after arriving in Jhansi.

Orchha is a former princely state that is located in Madhya Pradesh's Bundelkhand district. Since its founding in the 15th century AD, the town of Orchha has become well-known for its numerous temples, palaces, and forts. The Jehangir Mahal of Orchha (classic Mughal architecture), Raj Mahal, and Laxmi Narayan Temple (mural paintings) are extremely well-liked by them.

When you are through exploring Orchha's sights, re-enter the highway and drive 172 kilometres to Khajuraho. You would check into a prearranged hotel for dinner and an overnight stay when you arrived in Khajuraho.

Day 8 - Khajuraho - Varanasi

Our fantastic tour's eighth day is devoted to exploring the Khajuraho World Heritage Sites. Khajuraho is renowned for its collection of Hindu and Jain temples, which are divided into an eastern and a western group of temples. As soon as you finish eating breakfast, the Khajuraho sightseeing trip will start. You would go to the Devi Jagdambi, Kandariya Mahadev, and Laxmi & Varha temples as part of this.

One of the biggest Hindu temples in Khajuraho is the temple of Kandariya Mahadev. It is renowned for having more than 900 stone carvings in total.

Devi Jagdambi Temple, on the other hand, is a collection of 25 exquisitely decorated temples. These temples were constructed in India during the 10th and 12th centuries and are well-known for their sexual carvings.

After these stops, you'd be leaving for the airport to catch the following aircraft to Varanasi. Our tour guide will meet you when you arrive and drive you to the hotel. You can take a walk if you'd like or just unwind in your room if you like.

Day 9 - Sightseeing in Varanasi

You would be treated to an early-morning boat excursion on the revered Ganga River. Leave towards Sarnath (6 miles) after breakfast. After being enlightened, Lord Buddha gave his first speech in Sarnath, a town northeast of Varanasi. Sarnath, a highly revered Buddhist religious site, is located where the Ganga and the Gomati rivers converge. Dhamek Stupa, Sarnath Museum, and Chaukhandi Stupa are among well-known sights in this area.

After that, go back to Varanasi. You'll be going to the Bharat Mata temple, Dashashwamedh ghat, and Alamgir mosque in Varanasi.

Alamgir mosque, also known as Beni Madhav Ka Darera, is a superb illustration of Hindu and Mughal architecture. On the banks of the Ganges River is where the mosque is located.

The religious ghats of Varanasi are well-known. The Dashashwamedh ghat, which is near to the Vishwanath temple, is the most impressive of them all.

Day 10 - Varanasi-Delhi: By flight

You will be taken to the Varanasi airport for your flight back to Delhi immediately after breakfast. Check into the hotel you had reserved as soon as you get to Delhi. Rest of the day is yours to do as you like. If you want to, you can spend the evening exploring the neighbourhood.

Day 11 - Delhi departure

With this, our fantastic tour comes to a close. After breakfast at the hotel, visitors are taken to the international airport for their subsequent flight home.
