Har ki Dun, one of the most popular treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, is located at an elevation of 3566 metres and is surrounded by sparkling peaks and deep woods. The walk is classified “easy” to “moderate,” but participants must be physically fit to participate. One can also spend time performing photography and photographing various birds and nature. It is a sacred site that also serves as a base for Swargarohini, who is positioned at a height of 21000 feet.

A visit to this magnificently sculpted temple dedicated to Duryodhana- the famed Kaurava Prince- is a must for everyone interested in religion or history. If glaciers pique your interest, the Jaundhar Glacier at 4300 metres is only 5 kilometres from Har-Ki-Doon. To summarise, it is impossible to explain the beauty of this valley in words, and one must see this location to believe what has been described.
