Have breakfast as the Deccan Odyssey approaches Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan this morning. Take a trip to Ranthambore National Park after disembarking.

Ranthambore National Park, one of India's biggest national parks, is a haven for a vast range of plants and animals. The park is widely renowned for having a big tiger population. In addition to tigers, the park is home to a wide variety of other animals, including sloth bears, chinkara gazelles, chital, Sambhar deer, wild boar, and crocodiles. The park is a birdwatcher's heaven because it is home to a variety of birds, including flycatchers, woodpeckers, partridges, quails, and the crested serpent eagle. The lakes and waterholes are home to a variety of water fowl, including storks, ducks, and geese. If they're lucky, they might be able to see a tiger walking around the lake.

Return to the Deccan Odyssey's luxury after taking a wildlife tour of the park. After eating lunch on board, depart for a village safari.

The Taj Mahal's architecture is a fusion of Persian, Islamic, and Indian design.

Lunch is on you at the city hotel.

After lunch, continue your sightseeing tour of Agra. Visit the marble mausoleum Itmad-ud-Daulah, which Nur Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, constructed for her father Ghiyas Beg. Due of its resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the building is also referred to as "Baby Taj." White marble, mosaic, and lattice were skillfully used in the structure's construction.

Later, depart for Agra Fort, which is regarded as one of the best displays of Mughal design. For three generations, the fort served as the centre for Mughal rule and administration. Emperor Akbar constructed the current building. Later, the mosque and marbled rooms were built to the building by his grandson Shah Jahan.

Go shopping for Mughal jewellery and artefacts in the neighbourhood market. Spa services are available in hotels. Return to your opulent train, the Deccan Odyssey, in the evening. As your train departs for Jaipur, The Pink City, enjoy your meal.

The pink city of Jaipur, which is dotted with forts, gardens, palaces, and busy markets, extends a heartfelt welcome to all. With its vibrant culture and heritage, the lovely city showcases the genuine colours of Rajasthan.

After eating breakfast, head to Amber Fort, a masterpiece from Maharaja Mansingh's 17th century. Amber Fort, which overlooks the lovely Maota Lake, is spread out across a vast area and contains numerous courtyards, halls, and rooms. All of the rooms include exquisite decorations, including mirrors, priceless stones, and lovely artwork. Visit the Sheesh Mahal, often known as the "Hall of Mirrors," to witness the magnificent impression that one lamplight can produce in several mirrors.

Visit the Palace of Winds, often referred to as the Hawa Mahal, while you are at Amber Fort. The palace has a stunning perspective of the city and was constructed from pink sandstone.

Visit City Palace, a palace that is home to a stunning complex of appealing palaces, gardens, and courtyards, later. This morning, the Deccan Odyssey lands at Udaipur. Udaipur, the "city of lakes," is situated on the bank of picturesque Lake Pichola, amidst picturesque hills. Udaipur, one of India's most charming cities, has a lot to offer visitors. After eating breakfast, get off the boat and start your Udaipur city tour. Start by going to the renowned City royal, one of Rajasthan's biggest royal complexes. The Crystal Gallery is the palace's most famous feature.

After that, take a ferry across Lake Pichola to Jagmandir. You can savour a sumptuous meal at Jagmandir Palace, a palace built in the seventeenth century. In the beautiful atmosphere of Udaipur, let the sounds of the Tabla and the distinctive Jal Tarang enchant and astound you.

Get back to the Deccan Odyssey after lunch so you may rest. Later, depart for a walking tour of Udaipur's Old City. Puppets, wall hangings, cloth lanterns, clay sculptures, handmade papers, jewellery, paintings, painted wooden boxes, pottery, and brassware are just a few examples of the many handicrafts available for purchase. Today you arrive in Vadodara, a former princely state situated along the seasonal River Vishwamitri. After eating breakfast, get off the boat. Continue on to the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park in Gujarat, India, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Gujarati Sultan Mahmud Begada constructed the site. The well-known location is lined with forts, castles, and tombs that reach into Champaner.

Later visit the Jami Masjid (Great Mosque) which was built back in the year 1513. The mosque features a blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture.

Get back to Vadodara for delicious lunch onboard the Deccan Odyssey.

Post lunch; visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, which was originally constructed as a school for the Maharaja's children. The museum is a must visit for art lovers as it houses a great collection of the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma and other renowned European Masters and many more collections of sculptures in marble and bronze.

Enjoy high tea in the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace, which was constructed in 1890. The royal family continues to live there now. The Durbar Hall, which has a Venetian mosaic floor, is the palace's main draw. It also includes finely painted walls and Belgian stained glass windows. The palace is home to an impressive collection of antique armour and Fellici sculptures in bronze, marble, and terracotta. While enjoying unique treats from the Royal chefs, take in a local folk performance.

For dinner, go back to the Deccan Odyssey. Aurangabad is the destination of the Deccan Odyssey.

On the Deccan Odyssey overnight

On this day, you arrive in Aurangabad, a manufacturing centre in Maharashtra. The city bears Aurangzeb's name, the final Great Mughal Emperor. Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are located in Aurangabad, a city that is still heavily influenced by Mughal culture. The Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-ka-Makbara, and other monuments are just a few of the city's numerous other attractions.

The day begins slowly with a relaxing breakfast on board and then some fun activities.

Later, when the Deccan Odyssey is arriving in Aurangabad, have your lunch. Leave the city and go 30 kilometres to the Ellora Caves. Ellora Caves is home to 34 rock-cut shrines that display Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu artwork from the fourth to fifth centuries AD, making it one of the best examples of rock-cut architecture. The 12 Buddhist caverns in the south, the 17 Hindu caves in the middle, and the 5 Jain caves in the north make up Ellora caverns. The Kailash temple, which is thought to be a duplicate of Shiva's heavenly residence on Mount Kailash, is the most famous feature of the caves.

Visit Ellora Caves and then head back to the Deccan Odyssey.
